General Surgery

The Dept. of General Surgery is manned by consultant surgeons highly qualified and well trained in India & abroad having great experience in open and laparoscopy surgery. There is 24 hours cover for all surgical emergencies including all sorts of trauma. The dept. encompasses preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic conservative and / or surgical intervention.

Doing almost 1000 laparoscopy cases per year including routine such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy etc as well as advanced laparoscopic procedures like spleenectomy, nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, thymectomy, colorectal surgery, fundoplication, hernia and obesity surgeries. The Department holds the record of maximum number of spleenectomies in Maharashtra and very soon it will be in India. The Department holds the record of operating the oldest survivor of cancer of colon.( 100 years successfully).
