Sahyadri Neurosurgery department was started under the banner of PUNE INSTITUTE OF NEUROLOGY, in 1994, which is considered as the parent institute. Seeds were sown when four like minded people working in the same specialty came together out of their common interest of providing super specialty health care to people at large. These glorious names include Dr Charudutt Apte (Neurosurgeon), Dr. Pradeep Divate (Neurologist), Dr Deepa Divekar (Paediatric Neurologist) and Dr Hemant Sant (Neurologist).
