Sahyadri Speciality Labs has 3 processing units. The Central Unit, located off Karve Road, is spread over 5000 sq.ft. area and has state of the art automated equipments.  All the special tests are performed at central unit. SSL has two more processing units at Hadapsar & Bopodi which essentially are routine labs.

We have an effective network of courier boys who provide sample pick-up and report delivery for clients in and around Pune city. Hence, most of the routine and specialized test results are available within a matter of hours.

We have well-trained and experienced phlebotomists for the clients who require sample collection facility at home in Pune.

Administration of supplements in pure form and appropriate dietary advice form the mainstay of managing metabolic disorders. This is customized individually for each patient.

Prenatal Screening
We have a Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) U.K. approved Perkin Elmer DELFIA platform for prenatal screening using Indian MoM values for more accurate risk estimation. We adhere to quality control standards as per UKNEQAS- (United Kingdom National External Quality Assurance Scheme) by participating in their external quality control program.

Newborn Screening
It is necessary to screen neonates early to detect some of the treatable inborn errors of metabolism. Early institution of therapy can prevent physical and/or mental disability. The amount of sample required is just a few blood spots obtained by a heel prick.

• 6 parameters – TSH, 17-OHP (CAH), G6PD, GALT, Biotinidase, PKU
• Advanced Newborn Screening

We participate in the Newborn Screening Quality Assurance Program (NSQAP) Center for Disease Control (CDC), Atlanta, USA.

FETAL MEDICINE SERVICES
These are available under the auspices of this department. We have experts doing chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, cordocentesis and other prenatal diagnostic procedures. These are OPD based procedures and we offer daycare facilities for the same.
