Sahyadri Munot Hospital Swargate started as a small boutique hospital in the busy business hub of the Timber Market region in the area near Swargate with all facilities to provide state of the art speciality care to patients living around the old city area. In April 2010 Sahyadri Munot Hospital Swargate has added yet another feather to its cap with introduction of a Special Kidney Unit with facilities for Maintenance Dialysis for patients with Chronic Renal failure. Recently, thehospital has also addedfacility for Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) for kidney stones. It is a non surgical method using shock waves that are transmitted through the skin to break the stones into smaller pieces that may pass through the urine. It is carried out on OPD basis and each sitting lasts for appox. 30 min.
